Juneteenth is a day of celebration and remembrance for African Americans. It marks the day in 1865 when news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached Galveston, Texas, freeing slaves in the last Confederate state. As we celebrate Juneteenth this year, it is important to remember its significance and how we can promote Black health, wealth, and joy.
From health initiatives that focus on preventative care to financial literacy programs that help build wealth in Black communities, there are many ways to celebrate Juneteenth by promoting Black health, wealth, and joy. We can also take this opportunity to raise awareness about racism and its effects on our society. By celebrating Juneteenth with these initiatives we can honor the legacy of those who fought for freedom and justice while also helping create a better future for generations to come.
As we strive to create a world where Black joy is celebrated, it is essential that we are also serious about the lives of Black people. We must recognize that the fight for Black liberation and justice must go hand-in-hand with the celebration of Black joy. This means creating spaces for ebony femdom to be expressed and celebrated without fear or judgement. It means understanding that in order to truly honor the lives of Black people, we must also honor their ability to experience joy and pleasure.
